"Very nice hotel if you’re cruising from Southampton, which we’ve had the pleasure of visiting a few times . Good facilities, very good breakfast and accommodating staff."

"Our stay was very good and comfortable overall. However, I believe the SPA area needs more attention, particularly in terms of safety and cleanliness. Pool Area: The floor around the pool was wet almost all the time and was dangerously slippery. A yellow warning sign had been placed in the area, but there was only one and it was not clearly visible from the entrance. More importantly, warning signs alone are not sufficient. The floor should be mopped and excess/splashed water removed frequently throughout the day to minimize the risk of someone slipping and getting injured. Sauna & Steam Room: The floors in both the sauna and steam room were not sufficiently clean. In particular, the area underneath the benches in the sauna was visibly dirty and gave the impression that it had not been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. Considering the hygiene standards expected in a SPA facility, I believe more frequent and thorough cleaning is required. Apart from these points, we had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. I am sharing these comments constructively, as some additional attention to the SPA area would significantly improve the overall guest experience."

It is a 15 minute walk to Christchurch station, which is handy. If you wanted to drive the only thing to bear in mind is that the car park is opposite the hotel and not very big. The staff were very helpful."
