"Vastly overpriced and understaffed for what it is. Reminded me of a 1970's idea of what a reasonable hotel was. Positives: the staff are great but not enough of them. If they're on minimum wage it's criminal, they were so busy and deserve a LOT more. Negatives: Executive room, really? Separate toilet and bathroom with 1970's rendering on the walls. The TV is one step up from Cathode ray tubes, no casting here! Air con? Nope, you get a fan, in any colour as long as its white! Restaurant, apparently opens at 6pm but no-one there til 6.45. Gave up and went to the local Italian. Breakfast, nearly £20 per person and one, yes 1 Coffee machine for a restaurant that looks like it accommodates 100+. We waited nearly 15 minutes for Coffee by which time our breakfast was cold. The hotels one and only redeeming feature is it proximity to the docks. That's it. And at £260 per night per room you know it's a scam. Avoid, stay further out of town and use the short stay car parks by the docks."

"The hotel and grounds were lovely, cosy lounges, comfortable rooms, food good, staff helpful and friendly. The bathroom in our room needed some attention, the bath was blocked, water took a long time to drain away. Swimming pool was cold and needed a touch up of paint. Overall we had a lovely stay and nothing was too much problem for any staff."

"We stayed at this hotel recently for one night, it is a great location and was so quiet despite being in town, a lovely spacious room and bathroom was really big, clean and well maintained, reception staff were friendly and welcoming, will definitely stay again, Thankyou"

"Arriving on an international flight, exhausted, we got to the hotel at 8am, quite a while before the check in time. We were greeted by Greg, he said the hotel was sold out the night before, but once a room was available, they would clean it and we could check in early. He told us to go sit down have some breakfast and relax, until something opened up. An hour or two later he came over to us with the key to our room. Thank you Greg, we really appreciate your kindness."

"Upon entering, the room smelt strongly of mould and damp. There was mould all over the bedroom window and the smell also came from the bathroom. The bathroom door latch didn't work, so the door didn't stay closed. The bathroom extractor fan is caked with dust, the bath looks like it hadn't been cleaned, the panel looks incomplete and the grouting is mouldy in the shower. The bedroom had a radio, which was also caked in dust. I have a severe allergy to dust, which immediately caused a skin flare up. On top of all of the above, the travel cot provided was filthy on the net sides with loads of stains and yellow in colour. The room is a hazard to health. We opened the bedroom window for an hour and the smell did not budge, because it was never going to with the mould issue. Reception suggested air freshener, which is ridiculous as it would only mask the smell temporarily. I am also allergic to lots of chemicals in air fresheners. We were provided a clean cot after we informed the lack of cleanliness of the one provided. The mattress on the roll out bed was so flat, it was uncomfortable for our daughter. We are extremely disappointed with the state of the room and wasted money in fuel travelling to the hotel we didn't end up staying at. We had to pay more to stay elsewhere at such short notice. I sent feedback the next day by email with photos. No response and it's 3 days later I've put this review on."
