"This hotel may be rated as a Four star but the staff were five star. They were very helpful in arranging tours and the restaurants they suggested were great. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. It is located in the old quarter of Hanoi where the traffic was crazy - more scooters than I have ever seen in my life and where people work and eat on the sidewalks during the day. If you want to be part of the action, this is a great location. Jimmi and his staff made our visit to Hanoi a great experience. "

"We stayed here for three nights in two stays with our Halong Bay cruise in between them. We wanted to travel light and take just backpacks. Hotel had no issue in keeping our suitcases safely locked away for us. From the moment you arrive to the time you depart, you can expect top class service with lots of friendly smiles. One of the front desk managers , Sophie (I guess this as she wore a smart business suit compared to the others who were in traditional Ao Dai outfits), went out of her way to make sure we got our Halong Bay tour bus. As it was a bigger bus it couldn’t come down our tight street so she took the call from our guide and then personally escorted us with one of the doorman up to the corner where she had arranged for us to be picked up. The room was modern in a classic French style and everything worked perfectly. It was small but it was what we paid for and what you expect in a major city where land is precious. We actually got an upgrade to same room type but a better view on both occasions, one with lake views on the top floor. Very comfortable with a great walk in shower and top notch bed and bedding. Breakfast is on the twelfth floor with views of the city and Lake Hoan Kiem. Staff are very friendly & very attentive & switched on. The buffet itself is EXCELLENT! Egg station includes Eggs Benedict & also local noodle soup. The location is very convenient. Definitely no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a great base to explore Hanoi."
