This is a big, modern high rise, that is oriented towards a long stay business clientele, but also offers nightly rates. There is a rooftop pool which is very nice with a panoramic view of the city. The gym is also ok, but could use a better selection of equipment. I stayed in a one bedroom suite which was very clean and comfortable.

This is a great property located a bit away from the city center but easily accessed with a taxi. Good breakfast spread, clean rooms, courteous staff and all the amenities you could need - highly recommended for solo or family travel. Would definitely be back!

We stayed here for five nights mainly for sight seeing. The property was nice. The staff was friendly. We chose West Lake for quietness. We were disappointed that there was no prior communication about the big construction in front of the hotel - apparently it will go on for a year or more. It was far from the greenery as per their photo. Construction noise woke us up at 6am on our first night. We managed to change to quieter apartment the next day but this had already affected our energy on the day and plans. Suggest to be transparent about the noise situation early when customers book or enquire. Pay closer attention to customers with quiet apartment request at check in. The sauna just wasn't hot enough and was difficult to use with unclear instructions. The breakfast wasn't on par with hotels like Lotte or Melia Vinpearl on a similar grade.

Top choice if you stay at West Lake Hanoi

Stay was fantastic, hotel is clean and food at their restaurant was surprisingly good. The Vietnamese food was really authentic, kudos to the chef. Nice indoor pool with a great view of the lake and quiet neighborhood away from the noisy traffic.

Very pleasant stay at the Oakwood

A very well maintained hotel with extremely pleasant and efficient staff. We had 13 nights there during March and April as were back and forth to Hanoi. It's less hectic and quieter than the Old Quarter and never a problem to get a Grab. Breakfast is varied and suits all tastes. Lots of good restaurants also in the area. We'll definitely stay at the Oakwood on our next visit to Hanoi.

An amazing property to stay at. We came here after a couple days in old town area and it was nice to have a modern luxury hotel that had great amenities. Rooftop pool was awesome for the family to enjoy. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would recommended this property and would stay here again!

While the staff were indeed nice, the area located at the hotel is not close to the Old Quarter so if you are traveling with kids then it might not be that convenient. There are limited shops around the hotel. The hotel itself is overall clean but it's aging for sure.
