"This is the height of southern hospitality. Flights got delayed and we checked in after mid-night. Front desk still had two glasses of wine for our relation and enjoyment. Highly recommend for classic Charleston charm."

"Great location… we could walk to everything. Room not as pictured on website. Dark and dank. Bathroom smelled… think it was the water? Toilet ran. But the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I think it was to expensive for what it was, but it was also during graduation time, so maybe rooms were in short supply?"

"The staff was friendly and helpful. We experienced several operational glitches. We left our room at 7am and we we returned at 3pm the room was not cleaned. At 11:45pm, the smoke alarm weak battery signal starting chirping and waking us up. It was fixed. At 7am our curtains automatically opened and woke us up, depriving us of 1-2 hours more sleep. The hotel seems to be slipping some since it was sold. "

"Great location right in the middle of everything and on the famous King street!! Beds were so comfortable and the staff was incredible. Only reason not 5 stars is because the double-bed room had the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen in my life. Toilet paper was literally under the pedestal sink and reachable from the toilet. Zero counter space. If you don’t care about that and that is can get slightly noisy outside at night, this is your place! Amazingly priced as well."

"Everything about this hotel was terrific aside from the VERY LOUD A/C unit which made a crazy banging noise that would wake the dead every time it kicks on. Unfortunately that was about every half an hour all night. Zero sleep. Not booking here again due to this factor."

"We have stayed in numerous hotels in Charleston and this was by far the best. The rooms were big and clean. The outdoor courtyard was perfect to come back to at the end of the day of exploring. Going forward it is probably the only place I would stay in Charleston when visiting. "
