"We were absolutely blown away by this wonderful hotel. We’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, but this one was by far our favorite. The service and food were exceptional, and every member of the staff was incredibly professional. Our time in Atami couldn’t have been better!"
"Fantastic experience...only wish we would have had more time. We used this as a hub prior to climbing Mt. Fuji - not too far from the Atami Station and easy to access.
Staff is helpful, kind and very welcoming. Beautiful Ryokan - would definitely come back to visit again. "
"What a delightful hostel with ryoken style rooms and a beautiful onsen. The views were also wonderful of the sea! Great service, great place and accessible to the train station, too!"
"The stay was incredible! My friends and I had the most amazing girls getaway here. The service was incredible, and I think that the quality was great for the cost. The weather was nice when we were there, but a bit windy on the second day. The quality of the food was great as well. I have no complaints and would love to stay here again someday! "
"The room was amazing with a killer view for fireworks. It was right next to the river that cuts through town so the sound of water can be heard from the room. Just beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. "
"Check in process was not foreign friendly. The room was very old style with no private bath/ shower. Furniture with slight damage and worn carpet. 1960-1970-ish hotel. Hotel app needs work, not easy to use. Restaurant staff were very attentive. Indoor and outdoor hot spring bath were nice."

"A good place to stay and relax. Only down side is that there are some communication barriers since I don't speak Japanese and the staff doesn't really speak English, but they did try their best to communicate with you, things like prepared cards and using translation app on their cell phone."

"It’s a lovely luxury vacation resort. Beautiful, well equipped. Shower is very powerful (not all hotels have that). Outdoor Onsen bath per room with sea view is the best.
All staffs are very nice and helpful.
The spa is superb too. We did facial and body massage. Totally relaxed.
It’s a great resort. Dinner is nice.
One recommendation: breakfast is limited to Japanese style only. It would be great if the hotel can offer Japanese style and western style.
We have been to karaku Hakone. The KARAKU Hakone offers both western and Japanese style breakfast. "
"There's no private bathroom in the room. Most Japanese accommodations provide a yukata robe, especially for when accessing common bathroom facilities. This property had none to offer. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone who has physical limitations, such as difficulty walking as there is a very steep switchback to access this property. Also there was no signage so I easily got lost. The facility itself is quiet, but the announcements from the train station carries all the way to the hotel and this was extremely annoying and disturbed my stay. There were welcome and departure sweets, the property was very clean, and the service was excellent. Overall, I did like it. It was priced very reasonably for the area, but just be ready to compromise for that price."
