If it's your first time traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll notice a range of new restrictions and standards in place. Follow these tips and make your journey to Altiplano go off without a hitch:

• Look into what rules and restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check government advisories before booking.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to adjust your mask to verify your identity.
• Instead of handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, place it directly on the scanner yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be removed for X-ray scanning.
• Empty everything from your pockets, such as your wallet and phone, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
