Most of the points of interest are walkable. The country is in the process of updating their transportation and getting an LRT system. People are very friendly and things are very affordable.

Better alternative is to stay in Hong Kong and plan a day trip to Macau. See the old town first and then go to the Venetian until the evening. Unless you're a gambler that's a different itinerary.

A better transportation network (bus and taxi) would be a great addition. The bus payment is terrible and booking a cab is a nightmare if your are not local'ish

The city has changed since my last visit, but I really like the colonial style of buildings but I don't really care too much about casinos

Please be prepared to do a lot of walking, as for me it is a pleasure. They have a new app to call for taxi which is very good but still need to improve on location accuracy.

Amazing easy access to delicious food. Plenty of clean public restrooms.
"The property was excellent for the price. The room was very large (we had 2 bedrooms and a common space).
The buffet breakfast was cheap and had good food options.
The location is a little bit out of the way, but we walked to the tourist sites on the peninsula (ie Ruins of Saint Paul's) and used the Sands Macau Casino bus (located across the road) to travel to Cotai."
"Loved the hotel! Really enjoyed our stay. Aside from the beautiful design of the room, we appreciated the history of the property, which was showcased in the hotel's mini museum. The complimentary drink at the rooftop bar is a great touch, with the beautiful skyline of Macau. So many freebies in the room too, including the snacks and wine! The breakfast set is also very good! Overall a great experience! Highly recommended."
