I stayed here back in Nov 2014 and will be staying here again this coming May. I pick Hotels according to what my 3 year old daughter will like. The swimming pool must be very nice and this one blew her mind. It was the first hotel we stayed at in Lapu Lapu that had a pirate ship, lazy river, and a bar in the pool. She was terrified of the water bucket at the pirate ship but this time she said she was going to be brave. She can spend hours in the pool so for me and asawa ko the swimming pool is the biggest factor in picking a hotel.
The rest of the hotel is extremely nice. The hotel staff always have a smile and very helpful. As a foreigner I was taught by asawa ko not to let just anyone grab our luggage. LOL You know how it is. The staff is always there to help you non the less. The rooms are very nice and clean. I was very pleased with our last stay so we will be going again. Its easy to find and lots of extra activities available either at the hotel or close by.

My family had a wonderful time at Plantation Bay. It kept us busy for the three days we were there. There's something for everyone, and I was even able to catch the paddleboard yoga class. A very kid friendly place, highly recommended for families with young kids. Atmosphere was very wholesome, most guests were families and honeymooners. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it :-) they have a nice selection of kids meals at kilimanjaro kafe, which I myself enjoyed (esp the grilled peanut butter sandwich with bananas in caramel syrup). The view from our room (lagoon view) was amazing both during day and night. :-) overall, we had a very good time in this place, hassle-free. Thank you Plantation Bay!
Second time I have stayed here and it is VERY close to the airport departure area (you can walk) although you will need staff help to get your bags down a steep escalator. The hotel is attached to a casino and there's a gift shop for cheaper drinks. Rooms are great, shower hot, etc. No dealing with Cebu City traffic. Great transit hotel.
We waited for several hours before getting our room. Will not book reservation overseas again, noted a big price difference booking in abroad and locally. Otherwise the place was perfect, the breakfast buffet was over the top with all the food you can think off. Very delicious and presentable, really a 5 star quality.
Very nice resort I enjoyed my stay there all the staff are very friendly and helpful a very clean place next to the ocean. The only disappointment that it is to far from the city to enjoy going there for activities

Although Mactan Island houses Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) and is connected to Cebu City by a bridge, the island may be most famous as the site where Ferdinand Magellan died fighting Lapu-Lapu. Tiny Mactan village has monuments to both leaders, and the island also features several guitar factories.
