Web had the best time at the Kirana with our family. The staff were delightful and my 2 year old was allowed to feed the fish every morning which she loved. Close to the beach and nice eateries. Definitely recommend.
We stayed at LV8 for Bali's Day of Silence.Your not allowed out of the hotel on this day in observance of the holiday. It was the perfect place to be.The hotel is tastefully designed.Just gorgeous. Canggu isn't a busy town as Kuta or Seminyak. You can walk and find an awesome juice shop and some local spots.Or hire transport. We found the waves here with that little edge and kick that Kuta's didn't have. They're breaks were softer.Tanah Lot is enroute about 20 km.The rooms are gorgeous!!!The food is delicious, the staff is attentive to everything. They do hold a fee upon check in on your card which I seen a lot of people upset about. However been in Bali over week at this point I have seen it all over.It is common. The reverse it if you didn't take any of their property .The hotel also offers a shuttle into nearby city centers
Extremely overpriced in terms of the price for villa and massages. We were given a villa next to the kitchen and we heard loud sounds till 5 in the evening. We stayed there on 30 th dec and were given stale Christmas cookies as a complimentary gift. There was a loud croaking sound of an animal throughout our trip and the hotel staff informed us it was a lizard and they were unable to find the lizard. We also woke up to bat's feaces in the tv area outside, which was very disconcerting. I had asked for the staff to give us some black tea and informed the next day at check out that they didn't have any. Unhelpful staff and a terrible experience. Will never stay there ever....one night was enough. Won't recommend it to anyone. Not worth the price they charge.
We loved our stay at Ametis. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by everyone and were looked after so fantastically by our butler Gede. The villa is so private so ideal for a relaxing break but is close enough to get into Seminyak when you want to go out. The spa was fabulous and we had some fantastic massages while we were there. Gede would kindly drop us off in Seminyak for our dinner plans and then give us a mobile phone to call him when we were ready for collection. This was a great service. We also had in villa dining some nights and Gede would bring our meal to the villa. Awesome. Gede also drove us to Tanah Lot which was beautiful. Overall, I cannot rave about this place enough - simply beautiful and we hope to go back very soon.
The Bali Dream Villa and Hotel in Canggu is a great choice if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.
400 Meters from the beach is easy enough to walk and pushbikes and scooters are available for rent also if you don't want to carry your surfboard that far. Beach is good for surfing and swimming, but it is getting towards the volcanic area more so don't expect 'Golden Beaches'.
The hotel restaurant was excellent. The Balinese food was great but even more surprising the western options were fantastic. The hotel spa was sooo relaxing you don't need to go anywhere else, great prices also.
We opted for a cooking class which was so much fun and great value. We were taken to the market in Denpasar and helped buy the food and a few other bits and pieces then went back to the hotel and had the class in one of the Villas.
The hotel staff were very friendly, very much a family atmosphere, a great Balinese experience.
The villa itself is very comfortable but could do with a touch of TLC .The shower head was broken and the sink in the kitchen area was not really adequate .We ourselves never cooked there but the staff that prepared breakfast were given the minimum to work with .Everything from the small gas burner to the cutlery is pretty old.The master bedroom also had only 1 small hanging rail and no shelves or drawers so quite a bit of clothing had to be left in the suitcase. The outside toilet can be somewhat of a challenge if you happen to have a tropical down pour .The staff were excellent .Eddie the manager was very helpfull with all our requests, from booking tours to organizing transport , and Mattie our driver listened and advised us on were to go. The staff that prepared BK and cleaned were always happy and smiling and willing to help with any request .
Excellent rooms, buffet breakfast, pools, bar. Highly recommend. The worst things: 1) frustrating door cards make entering your room difficult. One entry took 49 swipe attempts. 2) no steps into pools (apart from private rooms). 3) some staff have no English (didn't understand 'water') but there is always someone else who cam help. Great location with feeling of space. I would be happy to return.
Hotel Tugu is one of those hotels that where from the moment you enter you know this is a special place. From the room suite complete with your own Koi pond to the massage in the spa it is all class. The Thursday evening Balinese dance performance with dinner was an unforgettable experience.
