Host was really welcoming and hospitable. Homestay can be found by googling (河北水餃). Located in Fenqihu which is near but still a distance away from Alishan National Forest - there is a bus (7322) that goes along Chiayi - Fenqihu - Alishan which was helpful. Food options were also scarce past nightfall.

Old Town Street.

The owner of the place was doing remodeling but took the time to help me plan parts of my trip and made me feel very at ease in a country where I am very much a fish out of water. Super helpful. Nice big room. Right in the middle of the old town street. Fantastic day.
