The bed was verycomfortable. Car park was right outside the hotel. Walking distance to the old street and train station. The staff were very friendly and informed us about where to visit in the area. Breakfast was ok. We booked a 2 double beds room for three people, but were upgraded to a 3 beds room. Thank you. We had a very nice stay.

The front desk lady was extremely nice. She stayed up till 12am to allow us to check in even though the lobby closes at 10pm!

Comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

Posted 31 Mar 2018
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, breakfast included, so you could get an early start.
Location: Shopping, restaurants and hiking in the bamboo grove were all within walking distance. There were buses to Alishan Area also.
Where else can you get fresh croissants made right outside your hotel? Delicious! We had a short walk to fantastic restaurants and shops in Fenchihu. One of the trailheads into the bamboo grove was across the road from our lodging also. The bus back to Chiayi stopped at our hotel so we didn’t have to walk up to the station with our luggage. One of the staff members spoke very good English and made sure we found everything we needed, including the bus schedule!

Clean rooms and pleasant owners

The hotel owners are nice. They drove me to the bus stop in a nearby town to catch the early morning bus to Alison. The traditional Taiwanese breakfast buffet is a nice treat. It's an enjoyable experience making a mid- stop at Fenchihu to shop fresh fruits and vegetables and sampling local cuisines before heading to Alison.

Hotel is between the hike trails and the old street (i.e. the train station), making it an ideal location to explore both attractions. Cheerful hotel owner also provided maps and advice for transportation (and schedules) to Alisan. A wonderful short stay.
