Ok, very expensive for the experience. Sea view rooms are extremely noisy.

They double charged me for the dinner and charged me ($15) at the time of check-out without providing explanation of charges. The dinner was for $21 but my credit card shows it was charged twice. It was careless of the Africa House Hotel to charge me twice. I tried reaching them but they didn't respond. Please be careful when booking this hotel.

historic colonial building excellent seafront loca

the staff and management are very accomodating, even under challenging circumstances. this is not the ritz carlton or the four seasons, this is a historic colonial building right on the sea front and short walk to everything without being in the overpriced tourist traps like Hyatt. for authentic experience stay in colonial houses like this.

Great old hotel

Great old hotel, not over restored. Air con rooms. Very nice atmosphere.

Unpleasant

I paid more to get an ocean room view - big mistake. The bar was located above my room which meant loud music until the early house of the morning, followed by staff dragging furniture across the floor to set up for breakfast. Lots of dancing, drunk people, whoo hoo’s - all of which made for an unpleasant experience. 2 nights of very little sleep; I was glad to get out of there.

The sea view rooms are not worth it cause they are located below the restaurant which means you will hear any chair that get moved and the music
