Heavenly! They provide free shuttle to the main train station. Food is amazing, but you need to like Japanese food. Onsen is so relaxing.

Their service overall was very pleasant, the facilities were amazing including the private onsen. Only couple of complaints is their English was a bit limited, the property was easy to miss when navigating to it on Google Maps, and they left us to figure out how to set up our futons.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The hot spring attached to the room is amazing. Two toddlers were having so much fun. The problem is that only one high chair available at the restaurant, the other toddler has to be squeezed into a small booster seat. And there were many stairs from the restaurant to the room, which made it a bit dangerous to carry toddlers and climb the stairs at the same time. But they are provided a separate room for us with the kids at the restaurant. Overall experience is not bad

Traditional ryokan that's exceptional

Posted 27 Jul 2017
Facilities of ryokan rare well designed to not give feeling of busyness, with staff every ready to please. Since this is a very traditional ryokan, we didn't really mind that few staff could communicate in English (we were really the minority).

Cultural experience, amazing food

Japanese countryside, worthwhile culinary experience at Ryokan. Relaxing setting, indoor and outdoor hot baths on site, they give you traditional robes to wear on site. We did a beautiful walk from town to Ryokan through local residential neighborhoods, temple, shrines, vegetable gardens. Futon beds in rooms. Kind staff, limited English.
