We had a wonderful stay at Sansou Tanaka. The location is peaceful, the hosts are very kind, and the breakfast is incredibly delicious!

This place is in a quiet area in Yufuin. Open fields and mountains in the background give you an amazing view from your room for sunsets, or sunrises. The staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. This is secluded enough to enjoy a quiet stay, but still be close enough to drive to Beppu and Oita to enjoy the city attractions.

t and path but close enough to walk. Yufuin is an awesome place to visit.
Sansou Tanaka is personable small and quaint. It is perfect for couples. The price is reasonable and definitely make sure you include the breakfast.

Beautiful and clean ryokan with private onsen. Surrounding was also great for a walk or bicycle riding. Breakfast bento is also very tasty.
