We really enjoyed our stay at St Mary's. The staff was excellent, the room was great, and the breakfast was terrific. We chose St Mary because it is close to the train station and close to the historic district in York. We hope to return one day.

Steps away from the idyllic River Ouse, this quaint and quiet B&B will not disappoint. Cleanliness in both private and public areas is top notch. Staff work cheerfully under the friendly manager dubbed the Queen Bee. Breakfast includes the traditional Those who have trouble with stairs should book the ground floor, those who can manage stairs be prepared for the narrow staircases and light sensors. They only come on only when you’re directly in the range of detection.

who was amazing what a lovely lady!!! the room we stayed in was really comfortable, cosy, clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent great choice available included fruit cereal full cooked breakfast which was delicious well cooked and prompt, the waitresses were real sweethearts, attentive and very professional a credit to the business. We would definitely recommend this little gem of a b&b and have already re-booked to stay. Thank you to all at St Marys for making our visit to York on a birthday weeked so memorable ✨️ 💖
