Le Meridien is a brand new hotel, very modern, but a bit short-staffed. It is a bit removed from the center of Xi'an, but quite close to the Terra Cotta site (ca 30 minutes), which was great for us as tourists. The breakfast was very good. We stayed in a "club" room so we had free access to the top floor lounge with a small dinner buffet and refreshments. When we checked in we found out that our room had two twin beds for the three of us, so the manager accommodated us by moving us to a king room and providing an extra bed at no charge. We had a pleasant stay for our 3 nights in Xi'an.

Remote, inconvenient, good service staff

Excellent front desk service willing n helpful! They are definitely under staff as reception has to take of check in, check out, left luggage, call taxi, swimming pool locker keys etc. I was shocked to see coffee shop staff re-fold guests' used napkins, n when challenged, she collected all back. I enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool but disappointed by the inoperable Sauna n Steam rooms. Overall I still like this hotel coz of the friendly front desk staff n the ambience.

Well appointed hotel , staff only speak Chinese

Beautiful looking hotel , but smells like cigarette smoke everywhere!, even the sheets and pillows. Not in walking distance to any shops or restaurants, except theses in the motel itself. The staff are eager to help but have little English and often deliver wrong order or do not understand to help , there is no concierge and no help to book any tours
