The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Property could do with a bit of updating but overall ok

Terrific 500 year heritage property worth seeing as a past local coaching inn. Owner and staff are as friendly as can be and very helpful, the food was excellent, modest room size. You are well taken care of and the village is one of a kind in the region, easy bus transport to Worthing and Brighton. I recommend the Village House and will stay again.

Typical old pub accommodation, non- en-suite bathroom was adequate although the shower was challenging- certainly needs attention. No hairdryer in the room.
Good supply of towels, soap and tea /coffee.
Nowhere in the website information indicates that breakfast only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Village quite pretty and had cafe for breakfast.

It did the job, for the area price was at the lower end but didn’t have breakfast unlike others. It was a nice location and had comfortable bed and clean plus tv option was very good not something I would normally turn on but did here. They are working with an old building and you get what you pay for.

Don’t bother
Posted 1 Jan 2024 on HotelsThe place stinks of cat pee. The corridor/stairs carpets are very old and dirty. The bed felt like a huge person slept in the middle and made it wonky. I’m asthmatic and had a crises whilst there, so definitely damp around the place. The single glazed windows were poorly maintained and meant very little sleep during a storm because of the noise and draught. Broken biscuits left as a ‘treat’ on the top of the tea cup. It’s not worth the price they’re asking for.
