We had a great stay in a lovely room, the service was excellent from all the staff and the breakfast was delicious, we would certainly recommend.

Had to miss breakfast which was not available until 9am,which seemed late?
And on leaving was unable to get out through the pub because it was locked!!!! And had to find our way out through a back alley.

Despite a warm and polite welcome and a pleasant/compact room for a single person, the Woodstock Arms is not suitable for the business traveller. Breakfast isn't available until 9 and there are no alternatives offered, there are coat hooks but no hangars for shirts and suits etc, I had to clean the coffee cups and the teaspoon which appeared to have dried food on it. No TV remote control in the room but a second visit to ask at the bar yielded a replacement. There was considerable noise from the bar until around 1115 pm which is understandable but once again, not suitable for someone who has to get up early for work.

Posted 21 Feb 2024 on HotelsAwful for a business trip. My room was right above the bar and it was so noisy. Was tempted to book as it offered a free breakfast only to find (on arrival) it was only available from 9am. What is the point?! Lesson learned.

Fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend it more. All staff were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food was seriously good and the pub cosy. Perfect for an evening next to an open fire.

Staff were excellent , but one shower door was missing and a big partch of bedroom carpet was soaking wet.
