They gave us room with strong smoking smell and didn’t want to switch to the other room. We had to complain so hard to switch to different room. It was family trip with my kid. Also we wanted ski resort view instead of parking lot view and they said no rooms available but we saw some other people get the room on the ski resort side after us. Just so many ways they don’t care about the costumers.

They offer only one small towel per one guest if they are not in their membership.

This was worse than a cheap AIRBNB stay. What did I pay 350$ for?!?!
1- No towels! They gave 5 HAND TOWELS (!!!) to 3 of us. HAND TOWELS!!! To use after the shower!!!
2- The bathrooms were clogged; both of them! There were stains on the furnitures.
3- The facilities listed in Expedia are not available for the hotels guests to use. You have to pay extra! Paying extra to a hotel’s mediocre indoor pool...
4- The restaurants... Dont expect to eat for a reasonable price at the facilities. Dinner was 80$ per person!!! Oh and also, they list a bunch of restaurants to choose from but of course they are not all open everyday of the week. Some of them were closed on a Friday evening!?!? And this is the peak season. It is January for god’s sake.
5-Everything is more expensive at the facilities. Even the lift tickets! Buy or rent all from nearby stores on the way.
Oh and also, none of the staff speaks English...
Slopes and ski school and its instructors are the only two things I would recommend.
We will never go back to Oak Valley Resort to stay.

Skiing in korea
Posted 12 Dec 2019 on HotelsIt is very good if you are going there purely to ski. The ski field is right there. There is a supermarket where you can buy food, a few cafes and restaurants where they sell food . The ski field is ok for beginners . The rooms are big for family of 4. It is quite far to go unless you take their free shutter from Seoul in the morning.

Everything was way to expensive. $70 usd for chicken wings and a salad. Also nothing is open during day. All restaurants except coffee shop are not open in morning for breakfast, no room service.
Shuttle service between properties is on 2 hour schedule so you have to wait 2 hours to travel from one property to another. I would not stay here again

Not quite there
Posted 1 Nov 2019 on HotelsWebsite listed pool, sauna, gym, several restaurants, bar etc without making clear that these are only available on weekends. On a Monday-Wednesday stay in October, with the main purpose of visiting SAN Museum, the Oak Valley ‘ski village’ is a depressing experience. Entertainment consists of walking tunnels lined with arcade games, a closed maekju joint, and the neon-lit GS25 to buy a measly breakfast. The personnel are friendly but have no idea of how and where to access the ‘gorgeous hiking trails’ that were mentioned on various websites from 2014 or so. Thankfully the wifi allows binge watching Brooklyn nine-nine and eating take out fast food in the spacious hotel room.
