Stayed for a night on my way through to another destination. The rooms were basic but acceptable. Breakfast was good.

It was lovely hotel in a quite little town. Nothing there to see or do we were just passing through. The restaurant at the hotel was a great bite to eat with a large menu selection.

a renewed stay at Goldener Ochsen
Posted 25 Oct 2014 on HotelsThe stay was excellent, not the first time we stayed there overnight. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy (a family party), and it would have been nice if we were told so at the reception. Now the reception was in a hurry, and we felt lost a bit.
The breakfast was excellent as usual.

Great stopping off place!
Posted 4 Feb 2014 on HotelsThis was our 4th or 5th stay at this hotel, which makes a wonderful stopping off place on our way to and from Austria. Only 5 minutes off the Autobahn. Rooms clean and comfortable, very reasonably priced, and a very good restaurant where we were made very welcome and recognised from previous stays.Not sure I want to recommend this hotel to enthusiastically - everyone might decide to use it, then there would be no room for us!!!

Very rural, easy parking.
Posted 8 Sep 2011Bit out in the countryside, but easy 15 mins into Schwabisch Hall.
Good sized room and bathroom.
We ate in the restaurant at night, which seemed very popular, and we had a good meal, with some good local house wine.
Breakfast was in the same restaurant, and laid out very well, and with all we could want.
Plenty of parking.

Pleasant hotel ,restaurant and evening staff
Posted 3 Jul 2011 on HotelsAll was perfect and would have been really excellent if the morning staff had been a bit more friendly and less square head.
The evening staff had been so nice, helpfull and pleasant. I give the mornng the benefit of the doubt that she had a bad day.
I will come back again,
