The quest hose was very good and the hosts were very helpful and kind . The breakfast was amazing and hot just how I like it . I would definitely recommend it to anyone else first class.

Rich and all people are very friendly and helpful. Guided us in interesting places to visit. The breakfast choices are amazing and unforgettable.

I booked this last minute and so glad I came across it. Booked King but got free upgrade to large King. Everything excellent, very comfortable, quiet, clean, plenty of extras in room including bottled milk in fridge, two bottles water, cotton wool and buds as well as the usual shower gel, shampoo, conditior soap, and an extra nice touch wine glasses in room.
Host very friendly and informative, folder provided with lots of information on local area. Mini bar with honesty box available in lounge.
Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice.
Great location in quieter area inbetween busy bowness and windermere and we parked right outside front door, no charge.
Could not fault it at all and would definitely stay here again :)

What a lovely place is St Johns Lodge, made all the better by being run by Rich and Ada, who were lovely, and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very tastefully decorated, very comfortable. The bathroom was large, and the shower easy to get into, and loads of lovely hot water.
The breakfasts were the best we've had, and Rich and his team did everything to make it perfect, even managing to get coffee to my husbands liking (a very difficult feat!!). They provide a very useful folder that has places of interest to visit, restaurants and walks in the area. They were very easy to talk to and I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough.

Posted 27 Feb 2024 on HotelsAda and Rich both very friendly and accommodating, amazing breakfast cooked fresh to how you want it (don’t get that in bigger hotels). Room was comfortable and the addition of access to the health club was a great touch.
