Maria & Taylor were amazing Inn Managers, our daily breakfast was amazing and cocktail hour was filled with delicious wine and great conversation. We meet some great people and the Inn was clean quiet and extremely comfortable with beautiful rooms.

The Brentwood Inn is a nice log, mountain style inn. The initial atmosphere is very cozy & inviting. The rooms are relatively spacious & nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. There is a wine/cheese offering in the early evening but missed this because of dinner reservations in town. So no opinion. It was quiet overnight. However - it goes downhill from there. Horrible mega-pothole at the driveway entrance. The front door sticks very badly & can almost not be opened without a good shoulder slam. The door to my room squeaked loudly. A simple spritz of WD-40?? No thermostat or in-room heat other than an electric oil, coil heater. This after long endless printed info regarding the “eco-friendliness” of the Inn. My room temperature was probably upper 50’s upon arrival. Chilly to be sure. Any noticeable thermostats around the building were set at 61 degrees. No visible after hours snacks, coffee or teas anywhere to be found for guests as you would expect at a B&B. Breakfast was especially disappointing. Luke warm coffee. Uncooked eggs, some kind of French toast with the visual & texture of a dish sponge sitting in water overnight. It was inedible.. It also seemed totally ok with the Inn Keepers for their dog to hang out IN the kitchen where food was being prepared & for him to wander around in the dining areas visiting guests. Totally inappropriate & wildly out of code regarding health department margins. We wanted to like the place but they need to do A LOT better.

Shucks Clint ... we so wish you had let us know your concerns and issues when you were here. Communication is a two-way street. Hard for us to deliver the excellence we strive for when we don't know. We would have happily shown you the thermostat for your room - and made sure you were as warm as necessary. We could easily have shown you the tea / coffee / hot chocolate station - available 24/7. You might also have enjoyed the home baked cookies always available. The french toast is usually a favorite of all guests, served with an apple pecan praline in a home made molasses syrup. In the event someone does not like the entre, we are always ready to prepare eggs to order with bacon or sausage and toast. Our staff might not have let you know that - so a good reminder. Thanks. We do hope you enjoyed the yogurt with granola and fresh fruit, and mix of juices that are available each morning? The pot hole is indeed a winter challenge, caused by the plowing the county does for the bike path right in front of the Inn. This was filled in right after the major storm that hit during your stay. Plowing snowy driveways are a perpetual part of winter in Wyoming, yet we strive to do our best. Thank you again for the feedback and giving us the opportunity to improve.

Return to Bentwood Inn

We came back to Brentwood because it’s a charming B and B with lovely rooms and with the new team breakfast is better than ever. This is a warm and welcoming place that has the best chocolate chip homemade cookies and lovely happy hour.
