This would have gotten all five stars except for an experience we had with the front desk. When we got to the hotel we had a room on the third floor. We told them we had two dogs and would need a room on the first floor. They were fine with that. The next day when we came back from being out, our keys did not work. We took them to the front desk and were told that we were supposed to tell them we had 2 dogs and that there was a fee. First of all, we did tell them when we checked in. We are used to the room fee because we travel with them all the time. That is why we changed our room. Second, they said this in front of other people in the hotel lobby, and it was very embarrassing for us. Third, one of our dogs does not bark. How did they know we had 2 dogs unless someone entered our room despite there being a Do Not Disturb sign on the door? This is very concerning. Fourth, there was no apology once they realized their mistake. This is just bad business.

The front desk staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. We did not appreciate housekeeping running the vacuum in the hallway at 9:15. Housekeeping also knocked on the door at 10:20 to find out if we were leaving...when checkout is at noon! Completely inappropriate!

The pool was extremely cold and was not heated. Staff was friendly. Cleanliness was ok.

Pros: The hotel was easy to get to and had lots to offer in the area. The front desk staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. The breakfast offered was over-the-top!
Cons: the hand railing and ladder going into the pool were loose. Cleaning staff entered our room even though we had not checked out-we were merely at the pool!
The side of our sheet had a blood spot on it! It was right in plain view and bright red, so the cleaning staff should have seen it when making the bed.
