Parking is available for off-season, however I can only assume parking is a nightmare during high season. Beds are European twins, so small, don't expect larger. The room are heated, almost too well but you can really enjoy the fresh air by opening windows and balcony. The view is worth every cent.

There are many stairs to climb as the description notes. Maybe a few more stairs than you might think. This was an older property with charming appeal. Though was fairly quiet even with older floors and a group of teens. The staff were friendly and helpful. Water pressure in the shower was perfect.
Breakfast offered a variety of choices.

wonderful views from balcony, nice historic building, fabulous breakfast, friendly staff, lovely restaurant for dinner, walkable neighborhood, fresh scent of cows, perfect place!

Bus was every 30mins, a little bit of a walk from train station, not a lot of restaurant or store to choose from. Staff were very nice. It's an old hotel, bed and floor makes creaky sound. Understand no airconditioner so you open the window but staff smokes outside and it goes to your room. Breakfast was good!

The hotel is very old. The rooms are very simple but functional and clean. The mattress is hard even by European standards. Very nice breakfast. Walking distance to train station.

Hotel with long history of servitude
Posted 10 Jan 2024 on Hotels300 year old hotel in beautiful Interlaken. No lift. Room provided for 3 adults is crowded. Location is 15-20 minutes walk from Widerswill train station, but there’s bus service if you don’t want to walk. Breakfast is excellent! Will I choose to stay here again? Hotel too old for my taste but it serves its purpose. Thank you!

Wife wants to come back here
Posted 6 Nov 2023 on HotelsThe hotel is a bit out of town but very easy transit using the guest pass provided by the hotel. Hotel itself had some creaky floor boards but was extremely comfortable after a lot of hiking and walking. The bed was the most comfortable bed we’ve had on our trip so far. Bathroom is small but shower was great.
