Pool was closed. No hot water in the morning

I was upset to find out at check in that the pool did not work. I've had this reservation with plans to swim with my daughters. This should have been advised online for the reservation or an email update. Staff sends nice and building is clean

I liked the breakfast room and breakfast and the beds were comfy. However, the button panel in the elevator was hanging loose, the shower was gross with rust, there were ants crawling around the sink next to coffee maker, the coffee maker did not work, the pool was out of order (which I had also read in past reviews), the phone in the room did not work, the fire alarms went off at 5:30 am, and there usually was no one at the check-in desk.

The property condition was about a 2/3 star at best in addition the swimming pool was closed or "out of order " as we were told. The end hall door was only usable as a exit door so only one direction use causing you to only enter from the main lobby causing you The shower bottom outlet head was loose on the wall when trying to energize the shower option but did work somewhat. Thanks for allowing me to comment.

Obviously its an older building. The bathroom wasn’t completely clean. Someone's long brown hair was on the floor. Broken light bulb in bedside lamp. Weeds outside 2 feet tall. Good news: friendly staff, coffee bar open early.

Pre-paid online, got a call to adjust with third party because they couldn’t accommodate 2 of the 4 days I booked. I couldn’t because I was traveling, arrived at 1 am and was told they didn’t have a double bed Available. They did get us a king with a pull out, but both beds were VERY uncomfortable. The room was not fully cleaned, so we didn’t have any hand soap or shower supplies. AND the bathroom sort really needed to be repaired or at least painted and they just had a strip of tape on it to keep it from splintering more.
