From the warm welcome to the delicious food served, I loved every moment of my stay at this fantastic and unique hotel, steeped in history and character. My room was spacious and well kept, boasting a super comfy bed that ensured a great night's sleep. Without a doubt, this establishment ranks highly among the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying, and I hope to make a return visit soon.

Such a lovely place !
The room was large and nicely furnished warm and cosy .nice bathroom amazing shower .beautful architecture and furnishings /decor.
Dinner was faultless - food and service! Recommend the steak .the breakfast was gorgeous too all local produce.prices were reasonable .the Hostess could not do enough . She was an asset to the hotel .we will defintely be staying here again .best place to stay in Whitehaven .
Pet friendly too !

What a beautiful looking hotel, with the staff and new owners to match, my stay at the hotel was a very special one, celebrating my 60th birthday, the owner Steph and her lovely family made me feel very special. Thank you so much for your hospitality, wish you all the best for the future.

What a great find!
Posted 6 Jul 2023 on HotelsAnother fantastic stay in this beautiful building. The owners Jane and Dave are so welcoming and couldn't do enough for me. Moresby hall is very well maintained, very clean and just a lovely experience to stay in such a historic building including an amazing breakfast! I loved the huge 4 poster bed, period furniture and complimentary shampoo, shower gel and body cream which are a great quality for once! They also have meeting facilities. I will be returning with my family soon as I would like them to experience what a difference this hotel is from the the regular, impersonal and generic hotels we usually have. Thank you Jane, Dave and your staff!

The room was located in backyard house, where highway maintenance trucks were parking directly in font of the window.
The room for two was equipped for one.
The building is located directly beneath the highway and would be pretty noisy.
At our stay it was closed due to construction work.

This was a ground floor apartment, equipped for two people. The room is know for being especially quiet, the guest is making assumptions seeing roadworks on the main road that there would be noise but there is none. The highway trucks were parked in the car park as their staff are occupying self catering cottages at the property and do not cause nuisance or disturbance. The road had a diversion for 12 weekends, ending at the end of July, a detour was in place and access no problem for guests.
