Double room was tiny, walls paper thin, workmen making noise, hotel needs major investment. Definitely will not stay here again.

The property has aged wonderfully and takes you back to old time Whitby. The stay at the royal hotel is unique in and of itself. The views it offers are outstanding; of the sea and the abbey atop the hill.

It needs a good repaint, bathroom very shabby..
Parking outside is very inconvenient, hard to find a parking place.
