Lovely B&B
Posted 18 Jun 2019 on HotelsEnjoyed 2 nights at Barnes's Rest. Lovely, friendly, caring hosts, very informative about local area. Stayed in room "Chesil", compact but well laid out with everything you could need provided, shampoo, body lotion etc & spotlessly clean. About 20 mins walk to town. Good choice!

Friendly host, but the Chesil room was very small (and I wish the bed was king).
Mattress felt a bit tired as well.

We are quite open about the room sizes and the room description for Chesil states that it has a double bed in it. The mattress is 2 years old which I fell is quite acceptable. The superior room which contains a super king size bed was available to book if you preferred a different size bed however we do not have bed extenders to accommodate extra tall people, but the tall guests we have had to stay have not usually had a problem

Overnight Stay

Pros: Welcome from the owners. The room was neat, tidy and very well presented, with all the usual accessories. The breakfast was excellent.
Our stay was overnight in order to visit a relative in nearby Dorchester, The B&B was easy to find, with parking available in the street. Located within a easy walk of a local pub which served good food and had a lively atmosphere. The beach and sea front were walk able but we used a car and local parking.

Wonderful Quality B&B in Weymouth.
Posted 1 Jul 2017 on HotelsVery welcoming high-quality B&B, within walking distance of the town centre (20min each way). Lovely owners who's pride and effort in their B&B shines through with lots of lovely touches as great service. Breakfast choices were wonderful!
We stayed in the largest superking room which overlooks the main road, so there was some road noise, so if you are a light sleeper and like the window open, you may want to consider a different room overlooking the rear of the property.
