We really enjoyed the hotel it was cloae to everything we needed. I feel they need to invest in some better pillows. I awoke with a neck ache because they were all lumpy. Rooms on the inside are way cheaper, that is because they dont have a bathrrom or shower in the room. Also there is no elevator.

In a very convenient location with a good selection of stores & restaurants close by. Various options for public transportation nearby as well. If you're on a budget, I recommend this hotel.

The Casa Loma is located in close proximity to a lot of interesting areas in SF. Most of the drives (by metro/bus system) took us 10-20 minutes and several stations are 2-3 minutes (walking) away from the hotel. The neighbourhood is quiet at night time and there are tons of cafes/restaurants around. If you are mostly out and about the rooms definitely serve their purpose (sleeping, showering). The rooms are a bit small for two guests plus suitcases but one can manage. Unfortunately there is no ironing board/iron which would be a fantastic additon! The room could also use a few more coat hangers (maybe on the bathroom door) but overall everything was fine. The room and hotel are clean and the stuff very friendly/helpful.

Stayed at Casa Loma twice now! Love the staff, they’re all extremely friendly. Had a staff member assist me with train routes and advice for certain areas of the city. They allow early check-ins dependent on availability of rooms (we were able to check in at 10:30 AM because someone didn’t make their booking the night before). They also allow you to leave your luggage before check in/ after check out. Overall, great service and experience with the staff.

This neighborhood was perfect! Super walkable and lots to see nearby. The street is pretty noisy. The building is obviously old and leaves something to be desired, but worth it for this price in this neighborhood. Rooms are small but everything looked clean! It was very hot though - no AC like much of SF. Would recommend for a shorter stay where you’re just looking for a place to sleep.
