We booked this hotel for two nights before getting on a cruise! It was the best price in the area and was close to Stanley Park. We had our two kids with us, 5 & 3. It was absolutely PERFECT! I was shocked because I wasn’t expecting much. It was in the best location! We ate breakfast just a block away at the red umbrella every morning, and it was so yummy! There was a pizza place right across the street as well as a convenient store and a smoothie place! Honestly, there were so many restaurants around we had so much to choose from! We spent both days at the beach & in the park! The aquarium is amazing and worth it! The second day we rented bikes, right across the street from the hotel and road all over the park! It was my favorite! We even had lunch at the TeaHouse inside the park! It was very beautiful and staff at the restaurant was great with the kids! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Great location. Lots of dining options and so close to English bay beach. Close to lots of areas and stanley park!
Rooms were mostly updated.
We did have a mouse visit which wasnt fun. Staff was great and moved us to another floor and gave us breakfast the next day. Was tough to relax for the other two nights as if there is one mouse, there are more mice. Happy the other mice didn't make an appearance.

The staff at the best western sands went above and beyond. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and generous. Thanks for a lovely stay

Amazing stay in a perfect location! We visit Vancouver every year and this was our first staying here, this will absolutely be our go-to moving forward.
