Lobby and public areas are a bit worn (lobby button on the elevator broken off) and smell of cigarette smoke throughout despite apparent policy. Room was decent enough, but only good value compared with other area properties. Wouldn't repeat

I would not rate it an 8 which is what I had thought it was based on Expedia website. It’s a 5. It’s older. Smaller. Smelled and staff was medium at best.

Great place to stay in a great spot! Near most things in West Des Moines you’d want to do, to go to, affordable and great staff! Will be booking again.

The room was great. The smells in the hallways due to food cooking was unpleasant. The elevator had a strong lubricant odor. The outside could use some landscaping TLC. I was very pleased with the room, the desk area in the room and the AC!!!

The picture and rating on Expedia did not reflect the reality. This is VERY OLD property that recently changed hands with lot of construction repairs.

Partner had a medical emergency and was taken to the hospital. They cancelled our stay due to the emergency involving a mental health crisis. Discrimination. Manager would not speak to us. Also, room was full of ants.

We were here for week visiting a family member. It was comfortable and convenient for what we needed.
