One of the very best hotels in Germany - truly historic location, five-star service, excellent dining. The great reception team made us feel at home from the start and treated us to an upgrade from the junior suite we'd booked to the Gropius Suite, a beautifully designed spacious suite in homage to the German-American founder of the Bauhaus school of architecture. We marveled at the attention to detail in the decor on the walls, the floor, the furniture. We treated ourselves to a gourmet dinner in the hotel's restaurant and enjoyed teatime the next day in the glorious Lichtsaal lobby with enough art on the walls to satisfy any culture vulture. We're looking forward to our next stay, Weimar has so much to see and this hotel is the place to be.

Mostly unfriendly cold personal. Yes it’s Covid. But we felt it here more than in other hotels or any other restaurant or place in Weimar.

Perfect location and very helpful staff. Very nice room and great restaurant.
