Rude staff. Dirty smelly rooms. A/C not on in room took hours to get room temperature comfortable

Had a mini fridge & microwave in room. Mud room flooring, so appropriate for working men. King bed was very comfortable. However, very dated facility. The owner? manager? was not overly enthusiastic. The housekeeping staff knocked on my door despite DND sign & then did not clean the room at all after I left for an appointment at 10:15 AM, despite seeing me depart (guess I shouldn't have ignored them earlier? Taught me didn't they?).
Good news. No sign of roaches or bed bugs.
BTW, there is a nice, new Quality Inn up the road. Will probably stay there next time.
NOT WORTH THE DISCOUNT!
Oh, did I mention the 3 trains a night?

The staff at check in was extremely friendly. The condition of the room for the costs was satisfactory. It was clean and inhabitable.
