Upon arrival at Bermuda airport, I called the phone number listed for Sunscape Bermuda to notify the owners that we were 9-miles away from arriving, and needed better directions for the taxi driver. The owner answered the phone, informed me that the Sunscape Bermuda wasn't available – there wasn't any record of my reservation (I paid in full upon making my reservation).

Wonderful vacation, charming host family

Posted 30 Jun 2018
My wife and I spent a wonderful six days here with Marilyn and Wendell Eve and their family last month. If I could go back tomorrow I would. Our room was big, comfortable and spotless. The Eves were super-friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. Their house is atop one of the highest hills on the island, and the views are gorgeous -- pastel-colored houses with white roofs and behind them the bright blue Atlantic. Warwick Long Bay beach is a 15 minute walk away (20 minutes to walk back, up the hill.) It is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited and there was hardly anyone on it. We went there almost every day in the late afternoon. The location is central on the island, about half way between St. George's at the east end and the Dockyards to the west. It's convenient for the bus routes if, like us, you don't fancy your chances with rented scooters. 20 minute bus ride into Hamilton, but while Hamilton is worth a visit we didn't find it especially attractive. A $10 taxi ride from the Eves' place gets you to the Gulf Stream or the Swizzle Inn, which are decent for dinner. Not so impressed by Henry VIII. You can spend a fortune staying at a resort in Bermuda if that's the sort of thing you like. But if you're active and self-sufficient, and want to get to know the island a bit, I highly recommend the Eves' place.

The owners were responsive to our needs. They offered suggestions for places of interest to visit and shared with us some delicious food . They took time to show us around the different beaches nearby and provide information about how to get around by bus, cab and bike. They arranged for us to rent bikes (pedal type) . Our bed was very comfortable the room spotless & we had a TV, small refrigerator, coffee pot, water heating pot, dishes and coffee & tea. The view was beautiful from the room yard.

Sunscape was excellent! Marilyn and Wendell were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable all the time. They drove us to the beach and to the grocery store and shared delicious rum swizzles. The house itself is a bit of a trek up the hill, but the views are absolutely incredible, and the house is beautiful, spacious, and clean. The room we stayed in was very private and comfortable.

Best B&B in Bermuda

Posted 10 Apr 2018
Pros: Spacious, updated, flexible, and had incredible views. The rooms had everything you could want or need on vacation and Marilyn was on point to help
Cons: The only thing was that the AC unit was finicky to work at some times
Location: It was perfect atop a hill and nearby beaches, the main bus routes, and stores in Warick. Its central location on Bermuda was helpful to explore
We were looking for a nice place to stay in Bermuda without breaking the bank. After reading the reviews on Sunscape, we were sold on it. Before we even landed Marilyn, the owner, reached out to us with any needs and arranged a taxi pickup for us. We were then led up to a gorgeous house atop Bermuda with views of the whole island. Marilyn and Wendell were amazing hosts... they were incredibly nice and accommodating and welcomed us with homemade food and rum swizzles! The suite was fantastic with all the amenities you could ask for an a porch with an amazing view of the island. Marilyn also was very helpful with getting us around the island and even offered to drive us places too. She also would make amazing meals which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I was amazed with my experience. The value we got from the Sunscape was unmatched. With the money we saved, we were able to rent mopeds and explore the whole island the week we were there (and it saved more money without using taxis!). The central location in Warick was perfect and closeby to great beaches too like Horseshoe Bay. I would highly, highly recommend the Sunscape to anyone looking to not only get a room at an amazing price, but to have an amazing experience too. It's hard to say if I liked their accommodations or hospitality more.

great view

Posted 10 Oct 2017
Pros: friendly people
Cons: include some meals
Location: the whole island chain has plenty to do, historic or eco tours, snorkeling, beach, sailing, etc.
Was in town for a business meeting, 1st time to Bermuda, enjoyed my stay, an island of very friendly people, a little hard to find, very narrow roads, everything is expensive, felt very safe

Warm friendly place to stay

Posted 5 Sep 2017
Pros: Location and such friendly and welcoming hosts.
Location: Excellent location easy access to get to other areas on the island, and the nicest beaches are just a 5 minute scooter ride away!
Excellent place to stay, would highly recommend to anyone. Marilyn and her husband went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning until the end of your stay. The location is prime for anyone looking for the best beaches on the island.

Nice room on top of a hill.

Posted 23 Nov 2016 on Travelocity
Pros: The spectacular view, quiet, and private.
Location: Perfect for fit people using public transportation, young people renting scooters and people traveling on a budget.
We were met at the airport by a very friendly taxi driver sent by the hostess. She took us on a little sightseeing and a stop at a grocery store before taking us to the Sunscape where the hostess was waiting for us. The hostess was very nice, and friendly. She took us to the post office to buy a bus pass and then dropped us off downtown Hamilton. The house is on top of a big hill with a spectacular view, and the room is on the lower floor with a big sliding door entrance. It has a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, a sofa, a kitchen table and a small kitchen with all necessary items. The buses and ferries were running continuously and took us every place we wanted to go, always on time and very friendly and helpful people. Since the house was located on top of a hill we had to get down to the bus stop, no big deal, but getting back up was a hard workout. But enjoying the spectacular view from the top and staying at a quiet spot made up for the tough walk uphill.
