Leaving a negative review purely because the management aren’t really bothered about the guests. I stayed in room 70, all ok with the check in, room nice. However in the morning I opened the curtains and had the entire wooden Pelmet and curtains land on me. It struck my left arm and luckily did land on my feet due to the side table below. I informed the night porter on my early check out and they said they would get management to call me. Nothing. I called them to speak to management the next day and again someone said they would call me back. Still nothing. Incredibly poor given the circumstances and potential injuries if this was a child. Didn’t bother to see if I was OK. For context the pelmet was slid onto two brackets, no fixings in them and very heavy. Terrible design but they were informed.

We liked the friendly staff and they were very helpful especially the house keeper. It was peaceful and comfortable. Easy to get to from motorway and location good for Stratford Warwick and Birmingham. Could do with sprucing up a bit but good layout -bedrooms away from dining area and kitchen

Excellent location to historic house and church as well as good restaurants, Shah’s Indian was outstanding! Only draw back… no lift in the Barford building.

Very quiet. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Only one bath towel for two people.

Only one set of towels (for two people). We were given hand towels as replacement. Hairdryer was broken. Shower was scalding hot with broken control. Safety grip handle (in bath) was broken. Ventilation system was not working. No manager on duty when we checked out so unable to secure any partial refund.

Disappointing. Although it looked great on the website and obviously had been an amazing property at some stage, it was tired and quiet shabby. The room was nice, generally clean but had obviously had dogs in at some stage, as this set our allergies off. The hotel is obviously geared to large coach parties and weddings. There was indeed a party there and we were therefore restricted as to when we could eat in the evening (bar or restaurant) and when we did decide to have bar food and agreed a time, there was no fish and chips and no scampi available, from an already limited menu (this was after we had ordered drinks at the bar to be told that they had run out of lemonade mixers). We ate somewhere else. Breakfast was a buffet and ‘ok’ As I say, disappointing, we had moved from another hotel at the last minute due to being let down, and this was a birthday celebration, so we won’t be revisiting (especially as we had travelled from Cornwall!).
