After our stay at Gulliver's hotel we found that the reception staff were very good. The location was great short walk to the park and great parking options. We did find that the hotel was a little dated and we were disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel was closed so we had to find somewhere else to eat on site. The room was dated and had a funny smell on arrival and overall cleaning could of been better.

The rooms are very big. They have all that is needed when you stay for work purposes. The internet connection is superb. The staff is ever so nice and helpful. The rooms are always clean. When you open the window in the morning the birds are signing. My favourire place to stay when I travel for work

We had driven from Cornwall, a tough 6 hour drive and were exhausted. This cramped, tiny cabin was a fair distance by foot from the hotel where our car had to be parked. The bed was an old sofa bed with a 4-6 inch gap between the mattress and the headboard. At 6ft tall my feet protruded. Two small old and thin duvets were provided and these had to be used to cover the rough springs of the bed. Another duvet was too small and thin to keep out the cold. We had to use the fan heater all night even though it spit out a screw when first switched on. It kept us awake for most of the night. There were no toiletries supplied in the bathroom. We could not access the hotel to complain because of the distance and constant driving rain, also we had been warned that there was a party there and it would be noisy. There seemed to be no other cabins being occupied so we doubted that an alternative would be available to take us. The entire experience was a disaster and we left a day early, not being able to accept the thought of another night's stay at this place. The £150.00 cost was just wasted.

We stayed for 1 night, 2 adults 2 children. A cabin type accommodation fun every you need for a sort stay, only downfall the bed was horrible, queen bed and bunk beds we all didn't have a good night. Need to invest in new mattress

Cold stay

Posted 8 Feb 2024 on Hotels
The bathroom was really cold. The towel rail didn't work. One of the USB chargers also didn't work in the lodge. Didn't realise I'd be on what is effectively a sofa bed within the lodge. Not very well lit when returning after dark. Parking at the actual hotel was almost impossible - fortunately there is a huge car park very nearby.

Rooms need renovating

Posted 29 Jan 2024 on Hotels
I have been staying here for years on business as the hotel offers good value for money (outside the school holidays) but the rooms inside the main hotel are now looking very tired and are in need of renovating
