great place to stay, 5min walk away from the ximen mrt and a convenience store 1min away. also a rather good breakfast place a few seconds away. hotel itself was nice looking, quite spacious for the triple single bed. the amenities were self service, take as u need, which was nice. the 2nd level social floor was great as well; provided a space for us to takeaway our food and to have food there. had many options of food & drinks to choice from to consume.the gesture of the jigsaw card was cute.

Everything is perfect. The drainage was clogged one night in the shower and we got immediate attention and resolved the problem. They provide a social room with free snacks and drinks 24/7. The whole property is really clean and very comfortable. One thing I don't quite get used to is toilet paper can't be tossed to flush but dump into trash bin next to it.

Nice place, free drinks, snacks and cup noodles at level 2. Respond promptly when we reflect the toilet is stuck(no we nv throw any tissues inside the bowl:). Recommend to ppl who want a nice place to stay near xmd area

The Cho hotel exceeded our expectations with its exceptionally clean and comfortable bed and room. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, exuding a vintage vibe that perfectly matched the hotel’s aesthetic. I particularly enjoyed the second level, where complimentary snacks and instant noodles were available. I want to give special recognition to Haru, one of the staff members, for her quick assistance in arranging airport transfer when another booking was suddenly unavailable. Her thoughtfulness and care for our safety during a rushed situation were greatly appreciated. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

Staff are great and very helpful. Made the trip in Taiwan a memorable experience. The room the we were in was not bad. A little small comparing it to western standards, but its not bad. It was clean, and the amenities are great. Specially the snacks. I get to try some Taiwanese snacks before I buy them at the store. GREAT EXPERIENCE!

It was an amazing experience.
It was Mama and Papa Asia Trip. From Singapore to Thailand to Taiwan. Of course not all planned vacation is perfect. So on our way to Taipei we couldn’t make the flight from Hongkong ( layover). I immediately called Cho Hotel and explained what happened. I was speaking to Haru who is very accommodating and understanding. With no hesitation she told me that she will talk to her supervisor about the situation and will get back with me. It didn’t took that long for her to respond. She did above and beyond with my reservations. Special shout out to Haru’s supervisor for approving our request. Sorry we didn’t get the chance to meet as we have the tour the next day.
That didn’t end there. As we checked in we were greeted with the warmest welcome by Haru and Anna. And guest what we even got upgraded room how amazing was that. They are the friendliest hotel staff we encountered throughout our Asia trip.
Now let me talk about the hotel. If you’re into boutique style this is your best place. Each corner of this hotel is very unique with all their boutique decor. From the lobby to your room. Did I mention that they have washer and dryer for free. All you need to do is bring you dirty clothes and laundry them. Also did I mention they have unlimited snacks on the second floor. It’s filled with varieties of ramen, juices, ice cream, cookies, chips, etc.Checking out was smooth thanks to Anna. I highly recommend this Hotel. We’re definitely coming back.

따뜻함이 느껴진 타이페이 호텔
Posted 20 Feb 2024 on Hotels초(町) 호텔은 5박6일의 타이페이 여행 계획에서 가장 좋은 선택중 하나였습니다. 시먼딩에 위치한 이 곳은 지하철에서 매우 가까운 거리에 있으며, 저에게 숙소 이상의 즐거운 경험과 추억을 만들어주었습니다.
물론 그때그때 묵었던 계절, 방의 컨디션, 느낌 등 평가기준은 사람마다 다를 겁니다. 저는 제가 묵었던 경험을 중심으로 말씀드립니다.
일반적인 호텔이라면 상상하게 되는 형식적인 서비스는 아닙니다. 편안한 복장을 한 프론트의 직원분들이 모두 최선을 다해서 여행객들을 맞이해줍니다. 저는 한국말을 유창하게 하는 Anna가 떠나는 마지막 날까지 도와주었습니다.
모든 방은 레트로 컨셉으로 각각 다르게 디자인되어 있으며, 아마도 사진보다 실제로 방문했을 때 더 많은 놀라움과 즐거움을 느낄 수 있을 것 같습니다. 저 또한 그랬으니까요. 하지만 그것이 추억을 떠올린다는 것이지 낡았다는 것을 의미하지는 않습니다.
겨울이라서 그런지는 모르겠지만 제 숙소 내부에서는 벌레나 얼룩이 하나도 보이지 않았고 상태도 양호했습니다. 에어컨도 잘 작동해서 새벽에 추울 정도였습니다. 만일 온도 조절이 잘 안되면 프론트에 문의하면 친절히 작동방법을 알려줄 겁니다. 그리고, 방 청소나 시트교체는 요청할때마다 신속하게 이루어졌습니다.
다만, 타이페이가 습한 날씨이기 때문에 방 전체가 약간 눅눅해지는 것은 어쩔 수 없었습니다. 제 방에서는 개별 제습기가 있어서 계속 작동시켜놓았습니다.
어쩌면 단순히 잠만 자고 타이페이 근교를 방문하는 일정으로 숙소를 사용하기에는 아깝다고 봅니다. 시먼딩에 있기에 시내관광 중간중간에 돌아와 휴식을 취하기에도 무척 좋을 것 같습니다.
저는 혼자서 여행했지만 여럿이서, 또는 가족 단위로도 충분히 방문할 가치가 있는 호텔이라고 생각합니다.
