Thank you to management and all the staff for their friendliness and assistance. The main buildings of the property are well maintained, clean and presentable. We were upgraded, on arrival, from a Superior Ocean View room to a suite. The suite was. a giant sized beach hut on stilts! Although of timber construction it was somewhat ‘tired’ and there was no wardrobe or drawers to hang/store clothes! The shower room was again ‘tired’ but fairly spacious. On arrival the walkways and seafront areas were not well maintained as there was a lot of debris and rubbish around. During our stay great efforts were made to clear up these areas. Unfortunately, as in many coastal places in au Indonesia, plastic waste is in the sea. Each time when swimming or snorkelling we picked up plastic waste and put in waste bins.

Nice property, but the rooms are a bit tired.

In particular the bathrooms need updating - especially the drains that don't seem to have vents and let sewer gas into the bathroom at all times.

The worst hotel experience of my life

Posted 14 Mar 2018
Pros: Nothing! The air conditioner did not work, which in these temperatures is a disaster. The rooms are old. We had to make several request for a safe key
Cons: Everything. Most importantly the communication and willingness to help. Every request, no matter how simple, was impossible.
Location: There is nothing close by. The location is isolated and far from the city and any other bars and restaurants. Food and beer are exorbitant!
Let me begin by saying that we are divers, and we often book remote, rustic venues. This is neither. It is simply terrible. The airport transfer was a run down van that seated five people. Eight people were crammed in. We sat with luggage on our laps all the way to the hotel. A government conference was taking place at the same time. Upon arrival,we were initially ignored. Eventually we were served. We had booked a diving holiday. I had advised that it was my wife's birthday, and had wanted to book a special island getaway.Nobody spoke English. The dive shop was desolated and abandoned. Nobody could help. We went to the room. It was dirty. There were layers of dust and sand everywhere. Ants, the size of bugs crawled all over the room. We found the breeding place and managed to pour boiling water down the drain! We tried to order food, but eventually were told that they couldn't understand. We tried to order drinks. Nothing was available except beer, and a bottle of warm, Moscato wine, and a non-descript bottle of green liquor. We left the restaurant tired and hungry. Again we tried to ask for help at reception. Astri, one staff members managed to help. We ordered a meal, which was delivered to our room. Once complete, we rang reception to collect the dishes, given the prolific ant problem. these dishes were left outside our room for the following 2 and a half days! We made several requests, even showed a staff member the trays, covered in ants, and now rotting, to no avail!.

Nice beach house close to beach

Posted 23 Jul 2017
Pros: Atmosphere was good, staff friendly and helpful.
Cons: It has an Indonesian charm and is mainly local tourism. If you want the Ritz do not go there. My wife is Indonesian and she loved it. Staff friendly.
Location: Snorkelling, diving and reef walking. Scenery was beautiful. Not a great beach for swimming and snorkelling away from resort site.
Our stay was pleasant. Accomodation was very tradifional wooden house on beach but very comfortable. We went on an organised snorkelling trip and were well supervised by hotel staff as we are both 60yo. Food was good but menu a bit limited for long stay. The resort is a bit isolated but after a 30min trip to Wanci I do not think there is much to see on Wangi Wangi. Had a very nice lunch at restaurant over water in Wanci. If you want a relaxing quiet stay this is the place. Snorkelling site was land based but went from shallow to deep water. I am no expert but I was impressed.

Nice resort

Posted 17 Sep 2018
Pros: Nice resort with very helpful and friendly staff. I suggest to stay at the suite as the rooms are quite far from the hotel.
Cons: Price at the restaurant are a bit expensive compared with you can find outside.
Location: The location is quite far from kota and you need to rent a motorbike if you want to do something out of the resort. Nothing to do nearby
Location is just in front of the beach but snorkeling is not possible due to the tide. Wangi Wangi is a fantastic location to snorkel or dive but note that there is no organisation in regard. We browse all around the island to find a boat and we could not find a reliable guide or tour. The tour provided from the resort were very expensive (5 juta) to go to Tomia and 300k for one snorkeling spot per person. The only thing you can do is snorkeling alone at Sambou jetty or at Cemara beach but be aware about the stream

Pozorny luksus na końcu świata

Posted 6 Jul 2018 on Hotels
Monotonne i praktycznie bez możliwości wyboru posiłki

Hier was veel mis.
