Great location in the heart of Wānaka, easy walk to all shops and lake front. Rooms are a little dated, but very tidy.

Friendly and excellent location. Condition and decor dated but that is outweighed by great location and friendly staff. This was my 3rd stay at this motel.

Convenient location. Reasonable price.
Cooking facilities & preparation area could be better. Limited crockery etc.
Outside area & furniture in poor condition.
OK for an overnight stay but not ideal for the 7 nights we were there.

We booked last minute as our travels changed and we got a huge room for a very reasonable price for just my husband and I. The woman who checked us in was very kind and helpful running through the property details because the front desk was not open 24/7, only in the afternoon. But she said if we needed anything in the morning to find her because she would be around cleaning the rooms. Our unit had a full kitchen and fridge, lots of dishes and glasses to use and 2 full balconies to enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is one block from the lake and main strip with all the restaurants and shopping. There is a grocery store, New World that is right over the back, super convenient. Can't wait to visit again!

1 minute walk to all the restaurants and bars in Wanaka. Plenty of parking in the motel or outside on the road. The staff are super friendly and accommodating 10/10

Aspiring lodge was ideal for a one night stop off. The motel was very tired looking and could do with modernising.

The unit was very comfortable. Our only concern was that we were not aware of the loud expansion noises that comes with a lockwood-type home. Had we been aware of this, we would not have booked. Plus the walls between units need better insulation as we had to put up with conversion next door at 1am for about 1.5hrs.
