I was walking to check in counter (handicap side)-I was focusing on counter. There is a floor mat at the counter. I didn’t realize it was there and I caught my toe on the rug lost my footing and fell—fell on right hip and right shoulder and hit my head against wall. The employees asked if I needed an ambulance but I said no. Other than a very bruised hip and tailbone I am ok. The rug was the same color as flooring and I think that is why I didn’t pickup on difference in flooring. The clerks and I think manager were helpful in getting me back on my feet. When I checked in finally I asked for a room on 1st floor and I was put in 122. Nice room but the bed had to be 4 feet high. I told him I couldn’t handle that (I’m 5 ft 2 in)..they brought me a small little stool that helped some but it was still very difficult (because of fall) to get into bed. Very difficult night. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but left the next day as I felt I wouldn’t get a good night sleep because of getting in bed and I was in a lot of pain due to fall. Fix the rug in front of check in desk and remember not all of your customers are the jolly green giant.
