Lovely home and family

Yannis and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Their home is beautiful, and the breakfast was incredible—all homemade and delicious local ingredients.

Very small room.you could hit your head while passing the door. It didn't look like the hotel in the site. It didn't worth the money at all .

Wonderful place to stay. Fantastic hosts!

Posted 19 Aug 2016 on Travelocity
The hotel is a beautifully renovated 19c house in a picturesque village. The host is unbelievably nice - dedicated and pleasant - he helped with insights about traveling in the area, was very kind to our boisterous kids, helped in every way to make our two night stay a marvelous memory. We travel a lot but are very picky - both cleanliness and aesthetics are deal breakers for us -- just on our way back from the grecotel at cape sounio and this place did not disappoint in the least! Highly recommended.

Charming mansion and host in fantasyland village

Posted 22 Sep 2015
The most romantic room with the most amazing view in one of the most charming towns I have ever been in. Well worth the drive up the mountain. Try to get good directions and let them know when you were coming and he will meet you in the square as you have to walk a little ways but it is worth it!

Stunning location

Posted 17 Sep 2015
Pros: Traditional building, friendly hosts, unique location.
Cons: Nothing - you should not want to change such a wonderful old building.
Location: Makrinitsa is a pedestrianised mountain town, carefully preserved and repaired only with traditional materials.
This is a wonderful boutique hotel in a very old building in the most perfect location in Makrinitsa. Run by a very friendly and helpful couple who even provided us with omelettes when we arrived after midnight. They could not do enough to help us with baggage, parking and advice on where to go. Rooms in such a very old building are inevitably small, but very comfortable. It is not possible to drive the car to the house, so prepare to take only hand luggage that you can carry easily. You will only be able to enjoy such a wonderful location if you are prepared to walk a short distance over rocky ground. Once there, the seclusion is superb, with spectacular views and complete quiet.
