I was led to believe the property was in Paris, but it was out of town. I could not afford taxis every day, but couldn’t get a refund. I lost my money and booked another hotel.

Hello, we did not believe anything, you booked on Expedia, and you had to cancel by the same method. We have commission fees on each night and cannot cancel them for you. Sincerely

Looked like a kinda rough neighborhood, tall fences and gates that closed at night.
A very good steakhouse about 50 steps away - even gave me a discount on my dinner.
