"This was a cute hotel with a fantastic breakfast (definitely worth the $15 USD). I wish we had time to try their dinner! The rooms were small but had everything we needed and were super comfortable and clean. The location was also great - only 5 minutes from the main blocks of shops and the harbor. I preferred it - it felt like a homey neighborhood."

"Loved this hotel. Breakfast was fantastic with an outstanding view. Also perfect for cocktails. Rooms are alittle small and the shower would be hard to navigate if you mobility issues. Heated floors were a bonus. "

"Very basic guesthouse. Bed was good. One electrical outlet in the room--had to unplug the lamp to plug in my phone charger. Electronic locks on room doors are a bit fussy--especially ridiculous if you get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night! ALL the door hinges in the place could use a bit of oil--not a huge deal in the off season, but I would get annoyed very quickly by all the noisy/squeaky doors when occupancy is high."

"This hotel was perfectly situated for all that we needed in Reykjavík. The fact that there is a bakery, a bar and restaurant connected to the hotel made for an exceptional experience. We also lucked into a night of jazz for free during our stay. Small things like the free chocolates and excellent coffee machines throughout the hotel as well as the beautifully appointed conference rooms and lounge areas just added to the experience. We highly recommend to any and all. The Executor is Excelsior."
