Too Darned Small
Posted 1 Oct 2019 on HotelsWas excited to stay on the square with the cathedral, but the inability to pull up to the hotel and no elevator plus an incredibly narrow spiraling staircase made getting in and out feel down right dangerous. The room is clean, but unbelievably small; the bath was nice- about the same size as the room! Dinner in the hotel restaurant was pretty good. Petite déjeuner was in a sister hotel down the street and was very good. The diminutive size of the hotel would keep me from staying here again.

Pros: rooms were renovated, modern and clean. charming location right in the city center of Vezelay. restaurant had the best food we had in France.
Location: right by Basilica, famous UNESCO world heritage sight.
we loved our stay. rooms were renovated, modern and clean. Hotel itself was very charming and right in the city center of Vezelay. this was one of our favorite stays in France. The restaurant in the hotel had the some of the best food we had on our trip. Would recommend to family and friends.

The hotel has a great location and staff, we felt very welcomed by the manager and all the restaurant staff as well. The rooms and bed were very comfortable. We would highly recommend the SY La Terasse with one warning: there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow and curved. This is to be expected in a building of that age but might not suit all.
