not arty, no amenities, rooms small, poor value for money. do not recommend given huge number of options in Verona.

Dear Randall,Thank you for choosing our Hotel Indigo Verona – Grand Hotel des Arts.I am really sorry to read such a low rating and I would like to apologize if we did not live up to your expectations about our room sizes.Unfortunately, Hotel Indigo Verona - Grand Hotel des Arts is housed by a beautiful 19th century listed building which gives the hotel great character and charm, however, due to Italian regulations, we are unable to modify the shape or the size of any rooms and this is one of the reasons why some of them do not provide generous space.In regards to the comment "not arty" I would like to underline that Hotel Indigo - Grand Hotel Des Arts takes its name from the extensive collection of art works of art that have found a home here over the years, spread throughout the rooms, from the lobby to the halls to the rooms to the inner garden, including paintings and sculptures by such famous artists as CiardiCascella, Minguzzi, Manzù, Purificato, Murer, Arnoldi, Pomodoro and many others, in addition to the presence of furniture and furnishings of considerable value.I am really regretful you could not appriciated it.Anyway I am really sorry if your stay was not positive and I hope you will give us another chance to provide you with a great experience at the Hotel Indigo Verona – Grand Hotel des Arts.Best Regards,Giovanni Maria RobertiHotel Manager

This was the perfect place for us to start our Italian adventure. A mix of close enough to both the train station and town centre, but far enough away that it was not noisy. Very comfortable rooms and good breakfast.

Overheated room

The room's heat could not be adjusted. The room was too hot. The front desk turned the heat off from a central location, which helped slightly, but the room could not be cooled.
Opening windows was an option but air quality was poor when we stayed in early February.

First of all, I would like to apologize if we did not live up to your expectations, the temperatures in Verona in recent days have been much higher than average and these days of unexpected heat with the heating system still on, given the winter season, were not easy to manage.
