Good Bargain for Basic Night's Sleep
Posted 1 Aug 2023 on HotelsThis was just a sort so-so hotel. It is in an older building, without elevator, air conditioning, refrigerator, or doors that swung open or closed particularly smoothly. But it was a good bargain for this town and a good location, just a short walk from the center. The continental breakfast was quite adequate, and really the only place on a Sunday morning that was open for any food at that hour.

Cons: Fix the mattress.
Honestly, this hotel is 90% there. The woman working the desk was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was quirky, but interesting. The room was large. The bathroom was great. Breakfast was fine and reasonably priced. The bed. It felt like the mattress had been flipped upside down and I was sleeping on the spring side (without the cushioning). Maybe I was. I even checked in the middle of the night. It didn't seem like the other side was better. But a bed that bad really shouldn't have happened.
