Photos look fine, but reality is very different.

Room was disappointing, with vinyl on the floor, cheap curtains and cramped toilet. Shower tiles grouting dirty. Toilet kept running after flushing. Bed springs could be felt. Flashing light in stairway/hall could provoke a fit.
The pictures look fine, the reality is very different. Would not return. A good Campanile is better and cheaper.

This hotel advertises itself with a photo of a swimming pool. What they dont tell you is that it is shut when the owner is not there. And he doesnt show up until 1630. In addition the hotel itself is jaded although OK, but no air conditioning means a hot sweaty night in summer. Restaurant is massively over priced. Go to the local town Varennes where there is a really nice Tunisian restaurant - better food and better prices.

cher MR UNDERWOOD (hé , oui , vous signé lamentablement "anonyme", mais nous savons qui a écrit cet avis mensonger)......vos remarques montrent que vous n'avez pas été attentif a la description de notre hôtel , car, comme il est écrit sur EXPEDIA ,notre heure d'ouverture est bien 16h30 les vendredis ainsi que la piscine qui est réserve exclusivement à nos clients "hôtel"..il n'y a pas d’accès de possibilité d’accès autres et ceci pour le calme et la tranquillité de nos clients......il n'est pas non plu écrit que nous avons la climatisation, mais malgré tout , notre établissement est dans la verdure et non au centre d'une ville....de plus il y a des ventilateurs dans toutes les chambres......alors oui sur cette semaine de canicule , il faisait très chaud malheureusement partout en France........quand au restaurant, je vous invite a regarder notre carte , il y a pour tous les prix , et comment émettre un avis sans avoir mangé chez nous............moralité, nous ne tiendrons pas compte de votre avis...........cordialement

Disappointed
Posted 9 Jul 2019 on HotelsHotel very dated. Doesn't appear to have been decorated since the 70s. Food of mixed quality. would not recommend this hotel although in a good area.

tout a été fait, pourtant, pour vous satisfaire
effectivement , c'est une auberge et non pas un cube
dès votre descente de voiture , nous avons été a votre service et cela , sans aucun remerciement de votre part
la courtoisie doit être dans les 2 sens
idem au repas , un "ours" a qui nous avons même refait un autre plat (gratuitement) sans lui faire payer
nous avons rarement reçu un client aussi grognon (pour rester poli)
contrairement a vous , l'accueil et la courtoisie est notre point fort (minimum 8.2 sur 10 sur tous les sites)
je ne suis pas sûr que vous trouverez votre bonheur en France, mais bon courage

Cons: It is very rundown
Location: It is bad being our of town by 20 Kim's and at a very noisy road junction.
This property is not as it looks in its photos, the location is not good at a major rood junction truck noise is bad. Is location is 20 Kim's from a major town so you have to eat at the hotel you have no option. It is old and run down need a major reverb.

It would have been more enjoyable if the next door room had not had noisy small children out on their balcony until .1.30 am - it was very hot and the windows had to be open.

You get what you pay for
Posted 20 Apr 2011 on HotelsVery basic room - lino on floor and ancient (well, maybe 10-15 years old!) shower/bathroom - but at the price it was adequate and rthe restaurant is excellent. Staff were helpful and room was clean and tiday. Location for my cycling holiday was excellent - impossible not to stumble onto ancient treasures pretty much wherever you go. If you're prepared to rough it a tiny bit, and on a budget, this place fits the bill
