"Guest laundry directly across from our room with door waged open,not good,no need to put us in this location hotel not that full,children running around floor above,no sound proofing,TV at side of bed,never saw that before,not good.Guy(younger)at reception was very friendly and helpful."

"My stay at the george started on Saturday night. 16 May. My daughter came in from California and I came in from Louisville Kentucky. My grandson was graduating from Columbia University on Monday. Sunday afternoon around 3 PM. We came in and had no air conditioning and it was almost 100° we of course down the front desk. They say they’ll send someone up to fix it. He came in did something we took a panel off the wall and said it was fixed. We went back out for dinner came back in around 7:30. No air-conditioning again! Called and also had to go down to the front desk. They told us that it was something that had happened to all the rooms it wasn’t just our room and to be patient so we had to stay in the lobby due to the fact that it had been almost 100° and the room was unbearable! No, when does it open no fan. We did not have air-conditioning for the entire night. We woke up around 6 o’clock the next morning well, let me back up. I was up every hour messing with the thermostat thinking that I had to push something to make it come on and it did not it was miserable! They then came up at around 7 o’clock to do the same thing to reset it if that’s all they had to do why didn’t they do it that evening. So I ask the front desk to compensate me enough enough points for a room room for somewhere else else and they gave me 20,000 points that’s not enough for a room. It’s 85,000 points for a room. I’m not sure if you want this review public, but I’ll be more than happy to do it."

"Hotel looked nothing like the photos online. Upon check-in there was already confusion with the room assignment, which made the experience feel unorganized. The lobby furniture appeared stained and unclean, and there was loud music coming from other rooms/floors. The room itself was in very poor condition. It had a strong smoke odor, the smoke detector was detached from the ceiling, and there was visible dirt and debris throughout the room, including the AC vents and bathroom floor. The bed sheets and curtains appeared stained, and some furniture looked heavily worn and unclean. We ended up checking out shortly after seeing the condition of the room. Staff did offer another room, but unfortunately we did not feel comfortable staying. Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep did not match the listing photos or expectations"
