Fantastic accommodation, very pricy food and drink

We were disappointed however to find that there were no modest options on the menu - nor any house pichet of wine! - transforming what would have been a very reasonable bill into an extremely expensive outlay. We will not be able to afford a return visit under the present regime.

Fascinating place to stay
Posted 13 Jun 2023 on HotelsBeautifully preserved and renovated hotel dating from about 1560, and simply oozing with character. No aircon (unsurprising given the age of the property and probably not possible to retrofit) so it was very hot in our room, but a good fan was provided, so we managed. Excellent restaurant with a good wine list and very good service.
